Meet The Team

Meet the people behind Chaperone Collective. Together, our team brings hands-on experience across television, film, theatre, tutoring, safeguarding and digital development, combining practical industry knowledge with a shared commitment to supporting children, chaperones, tutors and productions.

Sarah - Tutor Specialist

I’ve worked as a licensed chaperone for five years, supporting children and young people across television, film and theatre. I take every aspect of safeguarding seriously. For me, it is never just a box-ticking exercise: it means making sure each young performer feels safe, listened to and properly supported, while keeping a close eye on their physical and emotional wellbeing and ensuring licence conditions are followed. I’m calm, approachable and practical, and I work closely with young performers, parents and production teams to help busy days run as smoothly as possible. My recent credits include Netflix’s Narnia and Adolescence, York Theatre’s The Secret Garden, and CBBC’s Football Fantastics. Whatever the production, my aim is always the same: to help children enjoy the experience, feel confident and do their best work in a safe and supportive environment.

Gail - TV & Theatre Specialist

I’ve worked as a licensed chaperone for around 18 years, supporting children and young people across theatre, television and film. I take a calm, conscientious and highly professional approach to every production, while remaining friendly and approachable for young performers, parents and production teams. Safeguarding is always at the heart of my work, alongside the practical details that keep a production running properly, including accurate administration, careful timekeeping and full compliance with licence conditions. My recent work includes serving as Lead Chaperone on the Royal Exchange Theatre’s production of Fun Home, where I managed safeguarding arrangements and schedules throughout the run. My television credits include working as Main Cast Chaperone on CBBC’s returning series Odd Squad, as well as chaperoning on Wall to Wall’s Waterloo Road. I genuinely enjoy this work and take pride in creating a safe, organised and positive environment both on set and backstage.

We’ve been so busy making the system the best it can be that none of us have written our bios yet. Believe it or not, some of us are not even very good at blowing our own trumpet.
